Doug, as you know, we've been collecting your work since the 1980s and are fortunate to have acquired more than 30 serigraphs, etchings, and monotypes. We will always love those styles but are thrilled to see how the large oil-on-canvas pieces have enabled you to capture even more fully, and realistically, the vastness of the American Southwest -- both its land and its sky -- in a single painting. "The Knowing" may well be your most beautiful work ever. We could stand in front of it for hours, taking in its sweep, imagining the sounds and smells of that place, and wishing we could be transported there at that precise moment. Congratulations on your successful, masterful evolution into this medium.
